Memorial Day in Honor of “Pete”

Although this is not my photo, I am posting it in honor and memory of my cousin, "Pete," who was buried at Arlington in August of 2008. His birth name is on the stone, and he is buried with full military honors. The eagle feather at the base of the stone represents the highest honor an Indian warrior can receive. Pete was awarded this honor by his Indian friends who recognized his valor and love.

Thanks for posting this photo. I can’t believe that it has been almost two years since Pete had been gone. Iam so glad that I was able to know such a wonderful person.

    Thanks Phyllis,
Still miss him very much. . . I went to the ceremony yesterday at the Ft. Mojave Tribal cemetery. Pete always went there and spoke. Tracy and her family went also. I hope to make it a tradition with them.
