Boots

brown winter boots by the door, snow outside
When I bought these boots last summer, I tried them on wearing shorts. My son glared at me. "No, Mom, no." I guess he thought I was going to swoop my hair up in a ponytail and go out looking like a sorority girl. This winter, though, I'm wearing them all the time. They're lined with Thinsulate and fuzzy stuff, and they come up to the top of my knees. They are perfect.

It’s good to have a photographic record, too.- and nicely placed, as their own still life.(minus strangled geese and half-peeled pears.)
