Jello for brains

 

Egghead Junior and I had a conversation today about our worry that this would turn into a food porn site.  Then I started to make Panna Cotta.  One of the steps is to sprinkle gelatin over 1/4 cup of milk and let it soften for 5 minutes or so.  This is what it looked like.  Good thing I already knew how good this dessert is.

    The finished dessert bore no resemblance to brains and Mary knocked one out of the park with this one. The buttermilk gave it a hint of citrus and the other, unmentionable, ingredients (OK cream) gave it a lovely silky texture. Yum!
